NOPE, certainly it is not Punta Cana...
DG did a short
trip to the central mountains of the island, just for the sake of it: that place
is called Jarabacoa, a small town for local vacationists since the 60s. In 1979
not one but two hurricanes –one week apart- destroyed almost half of this
popular tourist destination. Believe it or not, before that, a 10-floor size mountain actually
occupied all the left side in the picture…
